The Universal Postal Union (UPU) is a specialised agency of the United Nations established in 1874, that coordinates postal policies among member nations and facilitates a uniform worldwide postal system.
The UPU works with the restricted unions to develop and implement the world postal strategy through well-defined regional development plans.
